For my source of primary research I decided to do a survey. My topic was sort of difficult because I couldn't really interview anyone of serial killers, and I didn't really know what questions to ask through a survey. I decided to ask 2 simple questions and I emailed them to the whole class. I am completing this now because I wanted to wait for as many responses as I could get. I ended up only having 13 respondents but I felt like I answered my questions and my previous thoughts that I had. I only asked 2 questions. My first question was do you think Serial Killers Kill because of childhood issues such as abuse in any form or even just an unhealthy upbringing? The results I got was that 69% said yes, while 38.5% of the people said no. I honestly thought the percentage answering yes would be higher but it is over 50% which helps me out. The second question I asked was do you think Serial killers have Psychological problems such as bipolar disorders, social disorders, etc. On this question I had 98.2% of people answering yes and 15.4% answering no. This one didn't surprise me too much because I figured most people think that serial killers have psychological problems since most people refer to them as "CRAZY!!" I actually thought it was cool to make and collect my own data that I will be using in my own paper!
