Hotels

Why Do we still have and need Inn/small hotels?
I have looked at different kinds of inn, bed and breakfast, non chain hotels, all over the U.S.A. and even started looking into other countries and their hotel offers . I read a book about how an inn is run and what goes into them. I listen to a speaker talk about why we need hotels with over a 1000 rooms in them. For big events in cities like Indianapolis they push and use tax dollars to build bigger hotel, football stadiums, and convention centers with rooms for things like the super bowl game. so that bring me to wonder about why do we still have small hotels and what makes them profitable?

  1. This is a very interesting topic. I have never really thought about why we still do have inns and small hotels. You bring up a good point as to why he have huge hotels. I'll be interested to see what points you bring up.

  2. I think that this is a really interesting topic, maybe in this paper you could not only talk about those small motels and Inns, but even the places that are out in the country that are the large houses with extra bedrooms they rent out as Bed & Breakfast.

  3. I think this is a good topic. I travel A LOT so I'm always staying in hotels. It would be interesting to know what all goes into running a hotel. I have never stayed in an inn so thats also interesting to know about.

  4. I like your topic. Most of the time when I travel I stay in large chain hotels. My experiences with small hotels have been limited and unpleasant. I honestly don't see much need for small inns, except maybe in small towns.
