Research Topic - What I Know
The research topic that I have in mind is what are the differences and similarities between American and Korean culture. More specifically what are the differences and similarities in the younger age groups. I already know that Koreans tend to be much more social than Americans, which leads to group based entertainment. The Korean education system is much different than ours, there is an emphasis on learning foreign language, specifically English. The competition to get into schools is also much more fierce.

This is an interesting topic. Do you think the majority of the paper will be focusing on american school systems vs korean school systems? If this is your main topic, I definitely think it'd be important to focus on the different age groups like you stated. I think both correlate with each other.
ReplyDeleteI think this will be really interesting! My brother was in South Korea with the military, and always described how the korean people acted. He said a lot of them think we're complete idiots. I always find it interesting to learn about different cultures and what they consider norms as compared to what we do.
